Both men and women may experience the following symptoms of diabetes. Sometimes, it takes a person a while to recognize the symptoms. That’s why it is very important to take care of our own body and pay attention to them. You shouldn’t ignore sudden change in your body and experiencing some of these symptoms. 1. Increased thirst and frequent urination
The kidneys can’t absorb all the excess when you suffer from diabetes and it ends up in your urine leaving you dehydrated.

2. Increased hunger
A lack of insulin leads to slow conversion of glucose into energy and it doesn’t go away after eating.

3. Itchy Skin
Dehydration can cause skin irritation, dryness and itchiness.

4. Dark patches of skin
This dark pigmentation appears in areas where skin creases or folds.

5. Slow healing
High blood sugar levels lead to poor blood circulation and make it hard for blood to repair damaged areas of skin.

6. Fatigue
You feel tired and sleepy all the time because your cells don’t have enough glucose to use for energy.

7. Blurred Vision/ Poor Eyesight
Excessive blood sugar level leads to clouding of the lens of the eye

8. Unexplained weight loss
The body doesn’t use glucose as an energy source and starts to burn muscle and fat for energy instead.

9. Getting numb or tingling hands or feet.
Excessive blood sugar level can cause nerve damage

10. Fruity odor on breath
Fruity odor with a hint of acetone may be a sign of diabetes. It happens because of impaired metabolism of glucose and insulin.
